The exhibition brings together Berlin photographers from different generations with different local backgrounds, yet Berlin united them. There is a common theme in the works chosen by all photographers: traces of life, the city and its urban landscape, portraits, and life of people, and the beauty surrounding us.
The exhibition also brings together East and West. Rolf has grown up in the GDR and is a GDR photographer. Norbert represents West Berlin. Both are black and white photographers; from a generation influenced by the 70s and 80s.
Mariya and Irina are from one generation, from the 2000s. They work with analog color photography. And had exhibitions already internationally. Both live and work in Berlin and share a similar photography style, so that it will be a companion exhibition. Irina was born in Ukraine, and Mariya was born in Russia, a friendship they have since years.
The exhibition presents story-telling, the fine art in photography, and the uniting bond we share in the context of nature and our city.

Die Ausstellung bringt Berliner Fotografen aus verschiedenen Generationen und unterschiedlichen Hintergründen zusammen, die sich durch Berlin vereint sehen. Alle haben ein gemeinsames Thema gewählt: Spuren des Lebens, die Stadt und ihre urbane Landschaft, Porträts und das Leben von Menschen, die Schönheit, die uns umgibt.
Die Ausstellung bringt auch Ost und West zusammen. Rolf ist in der DDR aufgewachsen und ist ein DDR-Fotograf. Norbert vertritt West-Berlin. Beide sind Schwarz-Weiß-Fotografen, aus einer Generation, die von den 70er und 80er Jahren geprägt ist.
Mariya und Irina sind aus einer Generation, aus den 2000er Jahren. Sie arbeiten mit analoger Farbfotografie und hatten bereits internationale Ausstellungen. Beide leben und arbeiten in Berlin und teilen einen ähnlichen Stil der Fotografie. Irina ist in der Ukraine geboren, Mariya in Russland, eine Freundschaft, die sie seit Jahren verbindet.
Die Ausstellung zeigt das Erzählen von Geschichten, die Kunst der Fotografie, das Verbindende zwischen uns im Kontext der Natur und unserer Stadt.
